Just remember, the higher a monkey climbs on a pole, the more you can see his butt. So, the speaker is very high on the pole right now and we’ll see how people like the view.

Former Mass. Governor Mitt Romney had an uncomfortable moment at a New Hampshire diner.
- Mitt Romney had an uncomfortable exchange over same-sex marriage with a gay veteran having breakfast in New Hampshire this morning. At an event that was meant to highlight the endorsement of Romney by Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas, veteran Bob Garon of Ebson, N.H., asked the presidential candidate, who stopped by his breakfast table, whether he supports the repeal of the New Hampshire same-sex marriage law.
- Romney: I believe a marriage is between a man and a woman... We apparently disagree on that.
- Garon: It's good to know how you feel, that you do not believe everyone is entitled to their constitutional rights.
- Romney: No, actually I think at the time the Constitution was written it was pretty clear marriage was between a man and a woman.
- Garon: Oh, I guess the question was too hot...
- Romney: No, I gave you the answer, you said you had a yes or no answer and I gave you the answer.
- Garon: You did and I appreciate your answer. And I learned something, New Hampshire is right, you have to look a man in the eye to get a good answer and you know what governor? Good luck. You're going to need it... I went and fought for my country and I think my spouse should be entitled to the same benefits if I were married to a woman. What the hell is the difference?
Take your pick.
Well there’s that. I just hope people are intelligent enough to reelect Obama. He’s not perfect (well no one is) and I have disagreed with a lot of the things he’s done, but he’s a million times better than the Republican candidates.
Why Would NOM President Brian Brown Attend Gingrich DC Fundraiser?

(Still frame from eyewitness video at the Gingrich fundraiser showing Brian Brown attacking the camera operator. Credit: Current TV)
“Brian Brown, the president of NOM, the National Organization For Marriage, Wednesday night attended a Washington, D.C. fundraiser for GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, and everyone is asking the question: Why would the president of an organization supposedly created to ‘protect marriage’ support a candidate who is a serial adulterer, and on his third marriage? Shouldn’t that be an automatic disqualifier?”
“It is an entirely hypocritical conundrum. Gingrich, perhaps next to Donald Trump, is one of the last Americans that anyone with a mind for legitimacy and honesty, can see as a candidate NOM could support or endorse.”
And then there’s good ol’ JoeMyGod’s take:
“Newt Gingrich would like to remind everybody that that marriage is between one man and one woman whom you abandon riddled with cancer on her hospital bed while you fuck the shit out of your mistress whom you later marry and cheat on with a third woman while screaming with Godly moral outrage about the infidelities of the president.”
“And NOM’s Brian Brown, one of the nation’s leading “defenders of marriage,” an allegedly devout Catholic for whom divorce is forbidden, is raising money to make Gingrich president. Brian Brown: “Everybody is allowed to fuck anybody they want, married or not, as long as they tell Jeebus: ‘My bad!’ after every adulterous encounter. But not homos. Definitely not homos. They belong to Satan.”
The GOP War On Voting
The Wausau Daily Herald says 177,399 Wisconsin seniors don’t have driver’s licenses or photo ID’s. In Wisconsin’s 2004 election saw seven fraudulent votes out of three million, all of them felons who’d lost their voting rights.
Seven fraudulent votes out of three million cast.
Just so Ruthelle Frank can be disqualified from voting.
Meet Ruthelle Frank. She was born on Aug. 21, 1927, in her home in Brokaw, Wisconsin. She has voted in every election since 1948.
But thanks to Wisconsin’s new voting restrictions, she no longer has the ID required to vote.
What she never had — and in 84 years, never needed — was a birth certificate.
But without a birth certificate, Frank cannot get a state ID card. And without a state ID card, according to Wisconsin’s new voter ID law, she won’t be able to vote next year.
Though Frank never had a birth certificate, the state Register of Deeds in Madison has a record of her birth. It can generate a birth certificate for her — for a fee. Normally, the cost is $20. ”I look at that like paying a fee to vote,” Frank said.
And for Frank, that might not be the end of it. The attending physician at Frank’s birth misspelled her maiden name, which was Wedepohl. To get a birth certificate that has correct information, she will have to petition a court to amend the document — a weekslong process that could cost $200 or more.
It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Gingrich.
Yes, PLEASE. Obama will DESTROY him in the general election.
N.J. Gov. Christie Gets Owned By #Occupy

The event was designed to advance the campaign of Mitt Romney, but it couldn’t have been less Romney-esque. There were hecklers, confrontations with the audience, and plenty of references to New Jersey, and its governor, Chris Christie.
The Garden State governor was the evening’s headliner at a campaign event for Romney, whom Christie has endorsed for the presidential nomination. But within minutes of Christie’s entrance on a stage at the headquarters of Kum & Go, an Iowa-based gas station and convenience store chain, protesters took over the room, commandeering a microphone and surrounding Christie.
“Mic Check: Mitt Romney and Chris Christie serve the corporate 1 percent,” they chanted. “Bust up big banks / make Wall Street pay / Put people first.”
The demonstration was quickly quelled and the demonstrators, members of the Occupy Iowa Caucus group, removed. But Christie seemed to enjoy the confrontation, joking that “soon they’ll be working at the Marriott around the corner” and describing his detractors as “disillusioned and disappointed” Obama supporters.
“They believed in this hope and change garbage,” he said. “So I understand they’re angry.”
